songs-- Southwestern Journey, Painkiller, Glorified Gravedigger, I25, Black Box, Kick Out The Jams, Goatlick, Take The Bullshit (live), White Girl, In A Manner of Sorts

We are not quite sure what to say about the final studio recording of the infamous Cesare’s Dog. La Raza is a strange ‘dark-horse’ of a record that seems to be a lesson in extremes.  Much of the humor of their debut album still exists here but is often obscured by vocalist Jonathan Levitt’s often tragic auto-biographical lyrics.  The band does deliver a stunning live space-rock performance of Take the Bullshit and a quirky and quite honestly, nasty version of the MC5’s
classic,
Kick Out The Jams. La Raza is not for the amateur enthusiast.
