September 3, 2007 - SlowBurn Records is very proud to celebrate 20 years of recording with a special 2 CD release - Universal - Recordings 1987-1989. This compliation of recordings from the very beginning of SlowBurn were completely remixed and remastered this year. This is just the first part to a three part series of four track recordings to be released over the next few years.

July 11, 2007 - We are very proud to announce that it looks like Black Sun Ensemble's final CD with SlowBurn Records, called Across the Sea of Id: The Way to Eden, will be licensed to Camera Obscura Records with a release date around July 2008.

Twitch - A Rock Opera From The Earth back in 2002 but didn't offically release the recording. We had been waiting on the completion of a feature length film, directed by the rock opera's creator John Paul Marchand, to accompany the music performed by
Sun Zoom Spark and many many others. The problem has been the film has never been completed. However, recently there has been a completed scene posted to on the web, featuring the song "The Intellectual Stew," performed by Sun Zoom Spark. Hopefully, this is just the first of many!!!

March 20, 2007- SlowBurn Records is proud to announce the release of Bread and Circus debut CD, Spare Me Over. Recorded at Tucson's Signal House studio, Spare Me Over showcases singer/guitarist John Axtell's songwriting skills while featuring performances from Black Sun Ensemble's Eric Johnson and former Dharma Bum's drummer Sam Donaldson. Spare Me Over is a unique hybrid of rock/folk/alt-country offering a much needed update on the touted desert rock genre.
