We are not quite sure what to say about the final studio recording of the infamous Cesare’s Dog. La Raza is a strange ‘dark-horse’ of a record that seems to be a lesson in extremes.  Much of the humor of their debut album still exists here but is often obscured by vocalist Jonathan Levitt’s oft-tragic autobiographical lyrics.  The band does deliver a stunning live space-rock performance of “Take the Bullshit” and a quirky and quite honestly, nasty version of the MC5’s classic, “Kick Out The Jams.” La Raza is not for the amateur enthusiast.  La Raza was recorded massive Eaton Chapel on Beloit College Campus in December 1990.

WARNING: A SlowBurn Records 4 Track Recording.  Recorded material proudly does not comply with industry standards.
