June 2013 – The remaining members of Black Sun Ensemble decide upon “Cobracalia,” a song from BSE’s debut release, to call their band, as a tribute to Acedo. Cobracalia plays first gig at The Dance Loft 6/14/13. Recording continues on BSE’s postumous release “Behind Purple Clouds,” adding oud work by Tucson’s Michael Henderson. August 2013 — Eric Johnson and Black Sun Ensemble are awarded the New Works Grant from the Tucson Pima Arts Council for the creation of Black Sun Ensemble’s posthumous CD Behind Purple Clouds and a 45 rpm 7″ split with Tucson’s Dead Chiefs. Both projects are scheduled to be released later this year.
September 2013 – Al Perry and Bridget Keating both contribute to Black Sun Ensemble’s Behind Purple Clouds.
September 16, 2013 – Recording is completed for BSE’s Behind Purple Clouds. Project moves into post production.
December 1st, 2014 – SlowBurn Records releases Black Sun Ensemble’s final effort – Behind Purple Clouds, as well as, Eric Johnson’s first solo project – Action Figures. Cobracalia books a CD release party for Behind Purple Clouds at The Rialto Theater in Tucson for Januar

January 31st, 2014 – Cobracalia, along with Tucson’s Burning Palms and Leila Lopez, celebrate Black Sun Ensemble’s final CD with The Behind Purple Clouds Concert at the Rialto Theater. September 1st, 2014 – SlowBurn Records (finally) releases Sun Zoom Spark’s “Left For Dead” project, after beginning it in 2001. Mixing work begins on Sundarata’s self-titled debut.
November 15, 2014 – SlowBurn Records releases Cobracalia’s self-titled debut after nearly seven months in the studio. Sundarata raises $800 to fund the release of their debut album, “Language of the Stars,” featuring Adam Lopez – guitar; Jeremy Topp – drums; Leo Graves – vocals; Eric Johnson – bass, organ.
